We are pleased to share an exciting opportunity from our colleagues at the University of Pisa, who are organising the upcoming Summer School “Law & Geopolitics”, taking place from 6 to 10 July 2026 at the historic Palazzo della Sapienza in Pisa. A hybrid participation option via Microsoft Teams will also be available.

The Summer School explores the complex and evolving relationship between law and geopolitics, offering participants an interdisciplinary perspective on global challenges. Through lectures, seminars, and discussions led by leading European scholars and practitioners, the programme will address a wide range of topics, including:

• Artificial intelligence and emerging technologies

• Climate change and sustainable development

• Migration and human mobility

• Security, conflict, and diplomacy

• The shifting nature of “nationhood”

• The role of law in shaping — and responding to — geopolitical transformations

Designed for students, early-career researchers, legal professionals, and anyone interested in global governance, the course provides an excellent opportunity to expand knowledge, engage in high-level debate, and connect with an international community of participants.
