EMILDAI at BIP Salerno 2025: A Week of Digital Governance and Collaboration

We’re proud to reflect on a truly inspiring week at the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) Salerno 2025, which took place alongside the IX GIG-ARTS Conference at the University of Salerno, Italy. Our EMILDAI Programme Chair collaborated in this dynamic and academically enriching initiative, which gathered students, scholars, and practitioners to discuss and shape ideas around digital governance and policy-making.

Throughout the BIP, participants engaged in hands-on sessions and developed preliminary policy briefs addressing current challenges in the digital sphere. The depth of analysis, collaborative energy, and intellectual curiosity on display were remarkable. The quality of the work produced was so strong that organisers are currently exploring opportunities to publish a selection of these student papers in academic or professional outlets.

The experience doesn’t end here. The BIP will continue with virtual follow-up sessions in June:

  • June 10, 16:00–18:00 CEST: Feedback session on updated drafts
  • June 16: Deadline for paper submission to tutors
  • June 20, 16:00–18:00 CEST: Final presentations and evaluations

We thank the organisers for their incredible hospitality and vision, and we applaud all participants for their dedication, insight, and collaborative spirit. We look forward to seeing how these conversations evolve in the next phase of the programme—and beyond.
