On October 15th, 2025, EMILDAI was proudly represented at Empowering Privacy Ireland 2025, part of the larger Empowering Security & Compliance Ireland event held in Dublin.

Our Programme Coordinator, Dr. Edoardo Celeste, joined a panel discussion on “Regulation vs Innovation”, where he shared valuable insights on the evolving relationship between privacy, law, and technology. Drawing from his expertise in digital governance, Dr. Celeste emphasised how legal and technological frameworks must work together to ensure that privacy and innovation can coexist in the modern regulatory landscape.

The event, organised by DataGuard, brought together leading voices from academia, industry, and policy to discuss Ireland’s role in shaping a secure, privacy-conscious digital future.

It was an inspiring day filled with thought-provoking discussions and opportunities to strengthen collaboration between research and practice. It was also exciting to see many EMILDAI students, from various cohorts, attend.
