We are delighted to announce that EMILDAI will be proudly represented in the 2025 Data Protection Moot Court (DPMC), organised by the University of Vienna.
Our student team is composed of:
-
Luisa Perez
-
Facundo Heredia
-
Agneris Sampieri Ortega
The team will be coached by Dr Edoardo Celeste, Associate Professor at DCU’s School of Law and Government, EMILDAI Programme Chair, and coordinator of the DCU Law and Tech Research Cluster.
The DPMC is a unique international competition that brings together law students from across Europe and beyond to simulate litigation on pressing data protection issues. It is both a challenging and rewarding experience, offering participants the chance to sharpen their advocacy skills and deepen their knowledge of EU data protection law.
The competition begins with an introductory meeting on 6 October 2025, followed by months of written and oral pleadings. It will culminate in the Final Hearing and Awarding Ceremony on 15 December 2025, where the winners will be announced.
We are incredibly proud of our students for taking on this challenge and wish them the very best as they prepare their arguments and represent EMILDAI on the international stage. We would also like to celebrate EMILDAI Student Rafiga Malikova who will participate in the Moot Court as an individual participant.
