Debate: Controlling Online Discourse – States and Social Media

Join us for a public debate on the book États et réseaux sociaux. Contrôler le discours en ligne by Valère Ndior and Emmanuel Netter, published in November 2024. This annual event, organized by the Book Club of the Master in Digital Law, invites students to collectively study a recently published work over several weeks, culminating in a lively discussion with the author.

This debate is an exceptional opportunity to delve into critical topics surrounding state control of online discourse, with participation from students in the M2 Digital Law programme.

Conference: The Content Governance Dilemma

Renowned scholar Dr. Edoardo Celeste, invited professor in the Master in Digital Law programme, will deliver a thought-provoking lecture titled The Content Governance Dilemma: Digital Constitutionalism, Social Media, and the Search for a Global Standard. This session will explore critical questions at the intersection of digital constitutionalism, content regulation, and the global quest for effective governance standards on social media platforms.

Supported by UPEC’s “Foreign Visiting Professor” initiative, this conference is a unique opportunity for participants to engage with cutting-edge discussions on digital governance and social media law.
