PhD Position – AI Regulation, Digital Sovereignty, and the Future of the EU Defence Strategy

Dublin City University’s School of Law and Government is offering a fully-funded PhD scholarship focusing on “AI Regulation, Digital Sovereignty, and the Future of the EU Defence Strategy.” This four-year program includes a fee waiver and an annual tax-free stipend of €25,000.

Research Focus: The selected candidate will explore the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence regulation within the European Union, examining its impact on digital sovereignty and implications for the EU’s defence strategy.

Candidate Requirements: Applicants should possess a strong academic background in law, political science, international relations, or related disciplines. Demonstrated interest or experience in AI policy, digital governance, or EU defence mechanisms is highly desirable.
