Visa Information

EMILDAI students from non-EU-EEA-CH countries may need a visa to study in Ireland and in the Schengen area.

Non-EU/EEA/CH citizens joining the EMILDAI programme can apply for a visa once they are enrolled in the programme. When applying for a visa in Ireland, non-EU/EEA/CH/UK students must provide a letter of acceptance and evidence that the fees have been paid and that the student has sufficient resources to support themselves during their studies as well as evidence of private health insurance. Students spending Year 2 in France who are not from the EU/EEA/CH, are required to have a visa that has the specific “étudiant” label. For more information please visit the official website of the French Government.

Non-EU/EEA/CH students) spending Year 2 in Spain are required to submit a long-stay student visa application 2-3 months before travelling to Spain, and confirm sufficient financial means and health insurance and will also have to apply for a student residence card at an immigration office within a month after arrival in León. Non-EU/EEA/CH EMILDAI students spending a period of year 2 in Pisa must fill in the pre-enrollment form in the website Universitaly. Non-EU/EEA/CH citizens must also apply for a visa. For more information please visit the official website of the Italian Government.
